Odyssey of the Stars we laurels Dale Raoul, motion-picture show, theatre, and boob tube player. Bring together u.s. on Saturday, April 2, 7 p.chiliad., at the Dennison Theatre to recognize Dale'due south achievements.Dale Raoul is notable for playing Maxine Fortenberry in the HBO serial True Claret.
Her first job was onMurder, She Wrote and she was thrilled and terrified to accept dialogue with Angela Lansbury. Other highlights includeA Nail from The Past, The Mexican, The Lawnmower Man, The Bronze, Friends, The Office, The Middle, Grey'south Anatomy, NYPD Blue, LA Law, Designing Women, Six Anxiety Under, Royal Pains, Fresh Off the Boat, Bones, Young Sheldon, Seinfeld and two seasons on Stephen King'due south Under the Dome.
She was honored with the Best Actress Award at the Stella Adler Festival in Los Angeles and with her husband, Ray Thompson, received the 2012 Visions and Visionaries Award from California Country Academy, Fullerton.

College of the Arts and Media students who are interviewed include Addie Slanger from the School of Journalism, Arwen Baxter, a Rhodes Scholar finalist and Musical Theatre pupil, Abbe Watson from Ceramics and eSport player Tessa Johnson. Addie Slanger is double majoring in Journalism and Spanish. In her interview, she shares her love of journalism. She chose UM's nationally-ranked program for the opportunity to learn by doing, amplify student voices, tell meaningful stories and get prepared for the evolving world of reporting. Now a senior, she is editor-in-chief of the UM student-run paper the Kaimin.

A Montana native, Tessa knew virtually UM simply chose information technology over other higher options considering of the eSports opportunities, including junior varsity and varsity teams in national play and internships in this fastest growing entertainment field. Abbe has a passion for social justice that she balances with her art major with concentration in ceramics. She remembers touring campus while still in loftier school and being inspired past CAM'southward
nifty arts program, especially Trey Hill'southward chicken project. Abbe's favorite affair most CAM is her professors, who she shares "push you to focus on the intentionality of what y'all turn in." Abbe is also president of Black Students' Marriage, where she is on a mission to cultivate infinite for black and brown students to support and encourage. Arwen Baxter, a Rhodes Scholar finalist and Musical Theatre and English Literature pupil, e'er knew she wanted to be a performer and writer. A third-generation UM pupil, Arwen has participated in many arts productions, including ones she wrote or choregraphed. She appreciates the value of hands-on experience in the arts, including the affiliation with the Montana Reperatory Theatre. She also values that she didn't accept to choose one interest over another; she can blend arts and culture with recreation, and didn't have to choose between the living in a thriving city middle and access to wilderness.

CAM Dean'due south Honor's List is Packed!
This fall 2021 semester, over 350 CAM students – nigh 45% of our undergraduates – fabricated the Dean's List! Of those, over 100 are also in theDavidson Honors College.
The Dean's List honors those students who receive a term grade point average of3.v or higher every bit a total-time student and an A or B in at least nine credits. This is accredited to the quality of students we're attracting and to their fine functioning both academically and in their creative work. Keep it up!

Two CAM Students featured in UM Graduate School's Con fluence Podcasts
In Episode 51 of "Confluence, " the graduate school podcast, we hear from a Bertha Morton scholarship winner, on her journey to UM and the affect ofmentors, lights and storytelling in the field of theater. In her 12-minute interview,she talks most her student journeying in CAM, Professor Mike Post's close mentoring,and the opportunities in Theatre and Dance. Hannah designed Fabled," and is set to graduate in May with her MFA in lighting.
